Ten games into the 2007 season and things haven't gone according to plan. High hopes on solid starts from C Chris Iannetta(.175 avg.),3B Garret Atkins(.179) and OF Nick Swisher(.186) went down the drain but the team wasn't full of bad news. The amazing start by SP Mark Buehrle(3-0 1.67 era) quickly established himself as the team ace and AL CY Young canidate. He manged to throw 3 consecutive complete games while striking out 18 in that span. Acquired in a spring training trade from the Chicago White Sox, Buehrle was happy for a strong start. "To start out the 2007 on such a strong note was great. To be able to go out there and provide the team with three strong starts is whats really important." Oakland continues there 3 game series with Toronto today. Buehrle will close out that series Tuesday night.
